APC-MCX [Adax Inc.]

APC-MCX is an intelligent multiple-protocol communications controller.Each physical channel features a coprocessor which may be programmed tosupport CCITT LAPB, for X.25 error correction and flow control; in LAPDmode, for ISDN; or in transparent mode for HDLC, Frame Relay, or IBMSDLC. Each channel has a software selectable RS-232C, RS-449/422, andX.21 electrical interface.Other features include 64 KB of onboard SRAM for frame buffering anddigital phase-locked loop circuitry for back-to-back connection. APC-MCXis suitable for applications demanding the highest performance withminimum burden on the host CPU. It is ideal for use with ADAX X.25 forUNIX or Frame Relay, for T1/E1 full-rate data links, fiber-optic datalinks, LAN-to-DDN or -PDN gateways, or wide-area RFS/NFS.
